What is Dazzle? It's how we do women's ministry! The idea came from an observation about the lifestyle of zebras. They cautiously live in both large and small groups called a "dazzle" where they find safety from dangerous predators. At Grace, women are encouraged to be a part of a small group and attend special dazzle events hosted throughout the year.
Zebras are gregarious animals that congregate in herds up to 1000 individuals and live in families of about 20. There is safety in numbers because these herds blend together fooling their predators like lions into believing they are larger than they are.A dazzle cares about its family members. When one member gets lost or goes astray, the rest of the group will spend days searching for it. If one is sick or injured, the rest will adjust their pace to accommodate it.
It is important that we stick together as a community of Christians because our "adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour" (1 Peter 5:8). As "a cord of three strands is not easily broken" (Eccl 4:12), we as a Dazzle are strong. I hope you will join us in our upcoming events to be edified, encouraged, and loved.
I Peter 5:8 tells us that we have an enemy who is actively on the prowl looking to devour and destroy us. In the safety of a dazzle, we can find hope, encouragement and strength for our daily walk with God.
